Sections
Sections are basic forms of professional associations at the level of tradesmen associations. The types and the number of sections are defined in the statutes of tradesmen association, depending on the number of members belonging to the respective branch and its importance for the economy of the area of that particular tradesmen association.
The mission of the section is to investigate, discuss and decide upon different issues and tasks related to the branch represented by the section.
Guilds
Guilds are forms of professional associations at the level of county chambers with the aim of coordinating and solving professional and other issues which are of common interest for their members.
Guilds are organised in county chambers of trades and crafts in such a way that as a rule every professional guild includes one branch and if demanded by the members one group or subgroup of the branch. The types and the number of guilds are defined in the statutes of county chamber.
Croatian chamber of trades and crafts’ guilds
The guilds of Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts coordinate the activities of the respective guilds at the level of county chambers with the aim of addressing and solving the specific issues of common interest at the Chamber level.
With this aim it is possible to organise sections of individual trades within a single guild (Textile, Leather and Fur Section; Florists’ Section; Chimney Sweepers’ Section; Photographers’ Section; and Textile Care Section).
National guilds are formed at the level of the national Chamber as a form of professional association of those members who belong to the same or similar branch.
The decision on founding a new guild at the national level is proposed by the Steering Committee and approved by the Assembly of Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts.
The mission of national guilds is to promote and improve, at the national level, its branch and coordinate and represent the interests of Chamber members who work in the same branch.
The way the guilds of Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts work is defined by a by-law passed by the Steering Committee.
